A family hike on a warm spring day.
Bubbles to play with, insects to marvel at, and a super sweet Sportsmobile to ride in.
A new baby girl just about to make her arrival into the world.
Very soon, Hayley and Nate will be meeting their precious daughter for the very first time. They are going to be amazing parents and the love and dedication they have already shown to their baby shows how blessed this baby is to have them as parents. I was so thrilled to be able to capture these maternity photos of the beautiful Hayley at almost 38 weeks pregnant and I hope that Hayley and Nate are able to look back on these photos and fondly remember this special time in their lives.
Hayley and Nate, thank you so much for allowing me to take these photos. I know doing anything at 38 weeks pregnant is not easy, let alone getting ready for photos and walking through grassy fields! Hayley, you are stunning and I can only hope these photos make you feel as beautiful as you truly are, both inside and out. Your darling girl will be here before you know it and I just can’t wait to meet her!
Onto the photos!
Being a parent is the best thing ever. There is simply nothing in life that is more emotional, challenging, fulfilling, and meaningful than taking on the responsibility of caring for another human being. Yes, it is exhausting. Yes, it is sticky. Yes, I do find myself using words like “potty” and “boo-boo” way more frequently than I would have ever thought possible when I didn’t have a child. But all of the exhaustion and frustrations just fade away when your little one wraps her tiny arms around your neck and says, “Mommy, I love you so much!” Ohh … melt my heart!
Since I love being a parent so much, I am always beyond thrilled whenever one of my friends is joining the parenthood club. And I am particularly excited for the couple in these photos, Josh and Katie. Katie and I were roommates in college and I simply can’t think of anyone who is going to be a better mother. She is kind, patient, caring, loving, and SO much fun! I can’t even count the number of times I’ve laughed until tears were rolling down my face when spending time with Katie. Seriously, this baby is in for a FUN childhood with a Mom like Katie. And Josh … well, he’s basically made to be a Dad. Strong yet sensitive, patient as can be, and the way he loves and cherishes Katie is a perfect glimpse into the way he is going to love his child. And what a lucky child that will be!
Josh and Katie, thank you for letting me capture this incredibly special time in your lives. Your enthusiasm and excitement for this baby is so evident and I just can’t wait until he/she makes her arrival! You guys are going to be the best parents and I am so thankful that I get to share in this journey with you. Love you three!
Danielle spends all day around pregnant women. She is an ultrasound technician who has a gift for taking great pictures of babies in utero. She is the person who told us my daughter, Lily, was going to be a girl and let’s just say she knows the ins and outs of pregnancy (pardon the pun.) The great thing about Danielle is that even though she spends all day every day thinking about pregnancy, she is still fully embracing the wonder that comes from having a hand in creating life. And Danielle’s husband, Morgan, well … let’s just say it is very evident that he can’t wait for his son to arrive.
Morgan and Danielle … you two are going to be amazing parents. You are selfless, kind, thoughtful, and already love your son in a way that only parents can. Gavin is very blessed to have you both as his parents and I am so excited to meet him in just a few short weeks!
Here is your slide show!
Even at 8 months pregnant, Danielle still fits into her normal jeans. I may or may not have exclaimed “Unfair!” when I first heard that fact, but thankfully Danielle is adorable enough to take away any feelings of jealousy I had. Almost.
I can’t wait to meet you, Gavin! You are already loved by so many wonderful people!
