Danica doesn’t just smile with her lips. Her smile is so genuine, so beautiful, so meaningful that it bursts forth from her entire body and soul. And Bryan …  he is the person who makes her smile the most in the whole world. And when Danica smiles, well, then Bryan smiles. It is a beautiful cycle of love. They truly bring out the best in one another and anyone can see just by watching them interact that theirs is a love that is meant to be.

As they approach their February 2012 wedding in Camarillo, Danica and Bryan are already done with lots of the planning and are taking time to really enjoy each other and the wedding planning process. I was so thankful to get to spend the afternoon with them capturing their engagement photos and watching them make each other smile. With Bryan’s firefighter good looks and hilarious personality, he made my job easy. Throw in Danica’s natural beauty and easy going spirit and the session was a dream!

Danica and Bryan, thank you for being so wonderful and for sharing such a sweet love. I hope you enjoy your photos as much as much as I enjoyed taking them and I can’t wait for your wedding!

There is just something so special about watching grown children interact with their parents. Long gone are the days of fights over curfews, grades, and whether or not it is acceptable to jump off a bridge just because so-and-so is doing it. Through good parenting and grace, the rigid parent-child relationship that was so well defined just a few years ago develops into a new, more free relationship filled mutual respect, admiration, friendship, and love.

It was such a treat to spend the afternoon photographing the Hogue Family because they are evidence that a joyful, mature, loving relationship between adult children and their parents is possible. The entire family truly cares for and loves one another. The sisters are not only sisters but also great friends. The parents love their children and clearly still love one another as they approach their 25th anniversary. And the newest member of the family, son-in-law Casey, fits right in and is clearly a welcome addition.

Dallas, Debbie, Chelsea, Elise, Casey, and Denise … thank you so much for allowing me to capture your family photos. I loved spending time with you all and having the opportunity to watch you interact in such a fun and loving way. You guys are awesome!
